About Patrick Whalen, M.A.
A Short Biography

Patrick D. Whalen, M.A.
Brief History
I was raised in Omaha, Nebraska as the youngest of five children in a single-parent household. After dropping out of technical school and university in my twenties, it took me until the age of 33 to find my purpose and a spouse. My life changed when I attended a Steven Covey seminar in Des Moines, Iowa. I became focused as a corporate trainer and training development manager, committed to catalyzing change in people's hearts and minds to help them reach their fullest potential.
I have stayed true to my mission, even turning down jobs that offered more money and power. Education was important to me, and I went back to university in my mid-40s to complete my first degree in Organizational Communication, followed by a Master's in Business Management at 48. However, I experienced some health issues at the age of 54 and retired at 57.
